Going on Instinct (and a Giveaway)!

August 16th, 2013 | Posted by Emily in Bungie Reviews | Doggies! | Fostering. | Moby Wonderdog | Rufus | Turk's Takeover

Moby, Turk, and Rufus are BACK with another Chewy.com review… and this time, they are going off pure instinct… Nature’s Variety Instinct Raw Boost Minis that is!

There is a lot of nutritious ingredients packed into these tiny little pellets: Duck (Including Ground Duck Bone), Turkey, Turkey Liver, Turkey Heart, Pumpkin Seeds, Apples, Carrots, Butternut Squash, Ground Flaxseed, Montmorillonite Clay, Broccoli, Lettuce, Spinach, Dried Kelp, Apple Cider Vinegar, Parsley, Honey, Salmon Oil, Mixed Tocopherols, Olive Oil, Rosemary Extract, Blueberries, Alfalfa Sprouts, Persimmons, Inulin, Rosemary, Sage, and Clove. They are also the perfect size for training.

After last months’ Chewy.com review of super nommable freeze-dried treats, Moby et. al weren’t too sure that these freeze-dried noms were going to pass their extremely high standards.

After explaining about all the nutrition benefits and pointing out that the main ingredient was duck, they all agreed to give these noms a shot.

What did everyone think? Turk seemed to like them as much as anything else. Same with Moby. But Rufus? Rufus went cuckoo crazy for these noms! He was jumping up and down and pulling out every trick in his (very limited) repertoire for a chance at these noms.

I can haz dance for a noms, yes?

He even braved breaking the rules by getting up on the table just for a chance at getting some noms.

So he was either very hungry, or these were some very tasty noms.

TASTY!!!!

Personally, I like that the treats are sourced in the United States (in my hometown – Lincoln, NE!), grain-free, all-natural, and low-calorie. They are very small, which makes them great for training exercises. My only issues with them is that they crumble pretty easily, so they can be difficult to use when training on walks. But Rufus loves them, and it is a rare thing for him to go crazy over noms, so I guess I’ll let the crumbly thing slide.

Promise, mom?
