Disc Dog 4 Life

Can you believe that I found my life’s passion this weekend? It had been hiding from me all these two years of my life and I found it right here in Foster Mama and Dad’s backyard!

My passion arrived on Saturday with a nice man (Foster Mama says his name is “Bryce”) from Lawrence. He is a part of this group called Kansas City Disc Dogs and he was interested in meeting me after he saw my profile on Stubby Dog Project. When he came to the house, Bryce gave me all the pettings and told me I was a good dog. I was like, “duh dude, of course I’m a good dog,” but I enjoyed his pettings and he had this orange plate thing that looked interesting, so I thought I would give him a chance when he asked me if I wanted to go out and play with him in the backyard.

Then Bryce started throwing the orange plate and my passion was discovered!

Bryce started out slow, throwing me “rollers” where the orange plate (he kept calling it the ‘bee) rolls on its side along the ground and then tossing the ‘bee just above my head so I could learn how to catch it. Some of the times I caught it right (on the thin side) and some of the times I tried to catch it on the fat side… those times didn’t go so hot. But I looked pretty cool trying…

We would play for a little bit until I was so tired I couldn’t go a second longer…then I would rest up on the deck while Bryce, Foster Mama, and Foster Dad talked about fostering and pitties and disc doggin’.

Then I would regain my energies and start searching for the ‘bee again. Then the fun started all over again!

Foster Dad took lots of movies of me disc doggin’ with Bryce and is going to make a longer movie of all my best moves so Bryce can show it to all his disc doggin’ friends to see if one of them wants to adopt me so I can disc dog 4 life! Paws crossed!
