Giveaway #5: Hairy Situations and a Grab Bag

December 30th, 2011 | Posted by Emily in Doggies! | Giveaways | KC Neighborhood Gems | Stuff that comes in the mail

First of all, yesterday was NUTS! For the first time ever, I had over 500 hits to the blog! Also, I had 56 comments on the blog plus another 51 on our Facebook page! I am speechless. You all are awesome! Seriously, I don’t even know what to say…except, let’s do another giveaway! This one is a two-parter… one giveaway is for my Kansas City peeps and another one is for the rest of you out in the blog-o-sphere!

The first giveaway prize is all about getting out of hairy situations, and one way I do that is by getting my hair done by my amazing stylist, Jamie Ludwig! Jamie has been cutting hair for 10 years (I’ve been with her for almost 6 of them!) in the Kansas City area. Jamie is not just my amazing stylist, she’s also styled hair for Topher Grace, Virginia Madsen, Martin Sheen, Emilio Estevez, Billy Bob Thornton, and Jason Sudekis (pretty cool, right?). She also made me believe I could pull off short hair so I could cut off 11 inches to donate to Locks of Love in 2008 without completely freaking out.

Here are a couple more examples of her wonderful work…

Getting your hair cut and styled by Jamie is an experience I wish each and every one of you could experience at least once…it is that wonderful! On that note, Jamie is offering up a haircut and wax (or deep conditioning) for one lucky Kansas City reader today ($70 value). Don’t worry, you can thank me later… 😉

For those of you who don’t live in Kansas City and can’t take advantage of Jamie’s awesome styling services, I have another giveaway for you… your choice of the prize from Giveaway days #1 (Y.U.M. dog soap), #2 (5B & Co. candles), or #3 (Pet ID tags).

Check out the details for both giveaways below:

I do wish I lived in your area as your hair cut looks so beautiful and she does great work Since I’m in Jersey and I love candles I would like to enter for the candle giveaway.

Hope you have a wonderful New Year!

My celebrity hair-crush is John Malkovich. I just love his hair in the part in “Being John Malkovich” when John Cusack is in John Malkovich’s body, and he becomes a world-famous puppeteer, and he grows John Malkovich’s hair out to be a long, balding, greasy pony-tail. Mmmmmmm.

Grab Bag! I could seriously use a haircut, but I will have to settle for the lady at the mall… But I WOULD love one of those candles (which I will likely purchase should I not win…just don’t tell Andrew)

Your mom’s going to to have to start expanding her sweater shop with all the interest you generate for it!

Hope you, Daniel and the pups have a very Happy New Year!

  • avatar Laurie Weil says:

I wish I lived by you too! Grab bag. Ethel and Louie need a bath. Louie leaks a lot because of Cushings and I can’t do the bath bit too often because of my back. Ethel would just love the attention because she feels a need to be pampered since Louie appeared as the foster. If they both smell beautiful, it is as wonderful as a candle. So I would win twice.

What a wonderful “Grab Bag” of prize choices you have offered. My pibble, Gogo, is a wonderful guy. He makes my life bearable in so many ways. Mostly by giving me reasons to laugh. Since this was his first holiday season with us and out of the shelter, he didn’t know he was supposed to get presents that were just for him. Soooo, he didn’t get any presents. I would love to win the ID tags for him. I am working on saving for a nice new collar for him and new ID tags would be just the candle on the top of the cake. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this for him.
