One Couple + Two Dogs = Our Waldo Bungie

Snow Day. New Faucet.

January 10th, 2011 | Posted by Emily in Home Improvement | Kitchen

It’s snowing like crazy in Kansas City!

The dogs have spent most of the day like this:

Space Heater Hogs

We relaxed most of the morning with a Celebrity Rehab marathon, but decided to be productive in the afternoon by installing a new faucet.

Here’s the old faucet before:

Leaking faucet - broken sprayer

Here’s the new faucet after:

No more leaks - working sprayer!

We discussed getting a nicer faucet but since we only plan on living here for another year or so, we went with a cheaper faucet ($39) that still looks nice.

What do you think? What would YOU do with your snow day?

  • A faucet removed/installed and a Celebrity Rehab marathon = a snow day well spent! BTW, cute dog. I love to include pet pics in my blog. I say they are my office staff. 😉

  • I miss our snow days. The one good things about living in Chicago is they do an amazing job cleaning the roads. You can drive the day of a blizzard and the roads are perfectly fine…just a bit wet. Plus, our public schools will never close because there are so many students that depend on the schools to get a good meal and be in a heated location. So I’m right there with them. Though it does make me miss an old-fashioned snow day.

I think they are a lot more lenient with snow days here because a girl froze to death waiting for the school bus a couple years back. So now, they consider that whenever they decide and if it’s snowy plus really cold, it’s an automatic snow day. Daniel is lucky because his work bases their snow days off the school system so if they’re off, he’s off. Unfortunately, I had to take a personal day to stay home but there was no way I was going to let him stay home alone and cozy without me! :)
