One Couple + Two Dogs = Our Waldo Bungie

Christmas is a-comin’

November 19th, 2009 | Posted by Emily in Holly Jolly Christmas | Stuff I Love

Yes, I put my Christmas decorations up in mid-November. Wanna fight about it?

We had to move Turk’s chair and our bookcase to the dining room for the time being. So the tree is in the corner of the dining room area, making it a focal point.

How do you like our Pottery Barn stockings? I bought them on clearance two years ago for crazy cheap, which is why I also purchased a special stocking for the pooches, because they deserve a spot on the mantle, right?!?! I am hoping that the matching tree skirt goes on sale after Christmas so I can complete my set. I keep telling Daniel that they’re heirlooms but I don’t think he’s buying it…

Now, I know some of you think it’s weird that I started decorating so early, but I know there are a few of you who (like me) think the Christmas season starts as soon as the last showing of “Charlie Brown & the Great Pumpkin” airs. Come on, let your freak flag fly! Or, just humor me so I don’t feel like such a nerd!

How exciting! We have a tradition of cutting our tree down at a farm and decorating the day or weekend after Christmas. I love the tradition too much to break it, it’s the only thing keeping my decorating in check.

    It all looks beautiful!!!

  • Hey, you can do whatever you want when it comes to decorating! I am really bad about decorating for xmas, usually it gets done the week before and then I just leave it all up until February because I hate dismantling it and putting it back into storage!!

I really want to put up my christmas decor right now… but i’m trying to wait until the day after t-giving :) nice score on the stockings! I am also wanting a PB tree skirt – why are they so expensive?!?

    • I think Pottery Barn just likes to taunt us with the perfection of their merchandise…..luckily I am patient and will stalk their website until that tree skirt comes down to my price range – then it’s MINE! Too bad I won’t get to enjoy it until next year though….

I love the stockings and the fact that you have one for the dogs! Everything looks beautiful. I’m officially inspired to dig out all the decorations. Christmas here we come!!!
