The Living Room.

October 12th, 2009 | Posted by Emily in Home Improvement | Living Room

As requested, here are some more pics of our house! The living room is where we spent 95% of our time, so I like to keep it pretty cozy. Here is the before and after(s)…..

Started with plain walls...a blank slate.

Looks like a cute reading nook, right? Well, it's actually Turkey's chair.

Daniel has plans to renovate the fireplace, and can you imagine how amazing that window will look with some linen IKEA curtains?!

Our hand-me-down couch. Yes, it's denim - but it's comfortable (and it was free).

See that rug? $5.00 at West Elm! Gotta love floor models!

What do you think? I am so excited for our IKEA curtains to come – I think it’s really going to bring the living room and dining room together. Next up – the front bedroom! We got a desk from West Elm to replace the huge desk Daniel had in college, now we just have to put some paint on the walls and put the desk together. Can’t wait to show it off!

Your house is so cute! All I could think as I saw pics of your living room was, “Man, I miss that denim furniture!” I had some of my best naps there. :) I’m especially in love with your front porch. The way you painted it looks great!

  • Thanks, Em! The old denim explosion really does make for a good nap. I still think of you as having your legs draping over the arm of the loveseat, napping with Rufus. Ahhh, I miss living with you! :)
