Cue “Sound of Music” – These are a few of my favorite things….

A couple months ago I took Josh to Costco and we found these amazing Laundry Dropps and I fell in love. They are pre-measured packets of laundry detergent that dissolve in the wash, so there is really no waste except for the small recycled plastic bag it comes in. Gotta love saving the environment whilst doing your laundry! (yes, Jo, I said “whilst” just for you!)

Oh, and while I’m on the subject of things that are awesome, let me lay this one on you….. Yummy’s Choice Hummus & Dips! I was shopping at Hy-Vee yesterday and I was accosted by this jolly middle eastern man insisting that I try his hummus. Well, I am not one to say no to hummus, and I do love a good sample, so I tried three of his five different dips, and they were life changing! I ended up taking home the Lebaneh (his most popular) and it’s taken all I have not to devour the entire container in one sitting. Try it, you’ll see what I mean…

** Update: I checked it out – you can order this hummus online at www.yummys.us – they ship throughout the US! **

This is the guy who accosted me! The inventor of the addictive dips.

I love the Laundry Drops, too, and I’ve found another exciting laundry innovation. I don’t remember what they’re called, but I’ll show you sometime. They are these hefty sheets (the size of bounce, but thicker you throw in the washer with the laundry (it contains the liquid and the softener) and then transfer it to the dryer with the laundry where it acts like a static remover. They’re great and nothing to throw away either.
